ARCHITECTURAL ASSISTANT: John Lyons, B.Sc. Arch. Tech. (Dist), B.A. (Hons)

John is originally from Galway, he graduated from the Institute of Technology Carlow, with a Distinction in Architectural Technology, and then went on to further his studies in Edinburgh. There he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Architecture from Edinburgh College of Art.

John worked with Richard Murphy Architects whilst in Edinburgh and was involved in many commercial scale projects, including the construction of the University of East London, Stratford Campus. At RMA, he was a part of the model making team, which included the modelling of the Haymarket re-development site in Edinburgh.

With an interest in travelling, John went to Sydney for two years. There he gained employment initially with Humel Architects in Dee Why, where he worked mainly on residential aged care facilities, before moving to Architects+Partners in St. Leonards, where he was involved in a large scale residential building, model making, architectural competitions and company marketing.

John takes on various roles including managing the office as well as working on all architectural projects.
